1. Start with the engine identification
Photograph the readable engine identification plate and record the model and serial information exactly as shown. Add the truck or machine application and known production details. Keep original images alongside your transcription so unclear characters can be resolved.
Do not guess where a plate is located on an unfamiliar engine. Follow the manufacturer's documentation or ask the workshop to identify it safely.
2. Identify the component being requested
Photograph the old component, its labels and its installed position where safely accessible. Preserve every readable part-number suffix. For an electronic or fuel-system component, obtain the actual manufacturer's markings rather than assuming the engine brand identifies the component supplier.
Separate a confirmed number from a number supplied as a possible cross-reference. Ask the supplier to explain any change in reference or specification.
3. Prepare one evidence packet per line
Tie photos, quantity and open questions to the same stable list line. Record whether the requested item is a complete assembly, a subcomponent or a service kit. A name such as “pump” or “gasket” is not enough to define the contents of a kit.
- Engine model and serial information.
- Requested OEM / component number, or “unconfirmed”.
- Quantity, unit and whether a kit or individual item is required.
- Marked photographs and known application details.
4. Ask what the offered product actually is
Weichai's official service resources describe its own parts and after-sales programmes. For a quotation from any supplier, independently ask for the offered manufacturer's identity, specification and evidence of application. LAIYI does not claim to be a Weichai authorized dealer.
Ask the proposal to state genuine or aftermarket supply explicitly and clarify inspection information, availability and lead time. These conditions must refer to the specific offer.
5. Use a reviewed list when the catalog is incomplete
LAIYI currently has no separate verified Weichai brand collection in its public catalog. Upload your numbered request for review rather than treating the general Engine category as a Weichai fitment list. A missing catalog match does not justify inventing a number.
